ok i remember seeing it at scotts house and it being good sized but GOOD LORD IT'S HUGE!!!! It makes my D70 look like a micro machine camera. Looks like it's time to upgrade that now too lol! I can't wait to try it out later. I'm intimidated by it though when i pull it out of the bag.

Is this the 70-200? I have Canon's 70-200 f/2.8L and it makes my XT look rather small, especially if I remove the battery grip.

The 70-200VR is a nice lens, but not hardly large in the grand scheme of Nikkors. Heck take a look at the 200mm f/2.0VR prime.

Bill you are truly

I think I'll be buying the 24" iMac or Mac Pro first, then if she hasn't left me yet, the f/2.0 will do it for sure

I shoot Canon so I'm not familar with Nikkor lenses, but that second lense is the largest 20mm wide angle f/2.0 prime lense I've ever seen. :

1D Mark III
Canon 20D
Nifty Fifty
100-400 L
70-200 2.8L non-IS

Check the EXIF on most of my headshots and you'll find they're done with the 180mm f/2.8D ED prime What's an extra 20mm between friends Oops don't answer that
