I used to have the same problem, but I had them split my RR line off from the rest of the cable TV lines and I've been ok...have them try that if they haven't

So far the Service Techs said the problem is not in my house. More likely a node is the root of the problem.

Where the coax comes into the house, you will have splitters. In a lot of cases, the main line will feed a 2 port splitter, then one port will go to and outlet, and the other to another 2 port splitter, and then repeat for every outlet in the house. Each splitter degrades the signal a bit, and modems need a strong signal. Have them make sure the modem outlet comes from the first splitter, rather than 2 or 3 or 4 down the line.

That might make a BIG difference. :)
