Who else pulls out the camera in funny places? *pic*

I always get messed w/ by friends cuz I will grab my camera ANYtime something catches my interest, anywhere. Sometimes the strangest places. Last night I found myself w/ rebel in hand in the middle of a chinese resturant gettin a few shots of the pretty fish... I bet I looked like an idiot, and I didn't care! lol

I get people who look at me funny because I have a camera in my hand most of the time.
But, they are happy when they get the annual calendar with all the pretty pictures on it from me.

I have mine out at work all the time, I work in a hotel, so it can get pretty boring. I drive the housekeeping staff nuts!

I carry mine around campus sometimes. Nobody even blinks. (heh)

My wife and oldest daughter usually give me a funny look or eye roll when I take the camera somewhere "just in case". When I don't take it and I see something photo worthy, they say, "You should've brought the camera".

Funny. My wife teases me when I do the same thing. Especially since I've joined this forum, I have always my camera near.

Probably doesn't count but here's some I took. 1st & last where while I was driving home from work. The other was at the new PF Chang's off Hwy 249, near Willowbrook Mall.

yeah, i usually take my camera everywhere. although it's heavy!

and people give me strange looks, especially when i'm pointing my camera at them. :P
i guess that's what happens when you use a 50mm lens.

HA, my brother used to gripe at me all the time "Bring your camera EVERYWHERE" of course, I never listened. Then today on the way to lunch I see a man walking down the street in a SALMON COSTUME....man I kicked myself for not listening to him...lol

I ALWAYS have mine, and I WILL NOT leave it in the car! So, my camera goes everywhere with me, in the store, resturants, doctors, movies, ect... I've gotten plenty of good shots cuz I "happened" to have it with me. I used to to a "Virtual Saturday w/ HPS (me)" on another board every Sat, and it was the equivalent of the day-in-the-life posts here, so I got really good at taking pics of pointless things.

What I think is funny is when I get weird looks for taking pics of something no one else gets, but I have a good reason for lol...

Because of how I take it with me and in everywhere I go, my wife has dubbed the camera bag/backpack my "Man Purse"!
