I created an email discussion list for all my fellow photog's. We used to use these in the car clubs, and they were very helpfull, and fun. If you haven't used one, I'll explain. Basically, you are on an email list for discussion. There is one main email address you email, and when you send one to that addy, it goes to everyone subscribed to the list. Same when you reply to an email sent to the list. This way, people can talk and share thoughts, or ask questions, and it goes to everyone right then. It makes for faster responses, and a bit easier interection than a msg board. It's also good for when you cant't get on the boards, but have a question or want to share something. It isn't meant to replace the board at all, but just as another way for us photography addicts to communicate. :) I just make a folder in my email program for the list, and since these will always have "[photogs]" in the subject, I tell it to sort msgs w/ that to said folder. Very easy and they don't take up room in the inbox.

Anyway, it's easy to join, or unsubscribe, so give it a shot. I think it could be a lot of fun and very useful. And no, this isn't some spam or something dumb like that. I made it, so I know this lol...

How retro...

I used to run several Majordomo lists... in the late 80's

Werd! But, I do think it would be fun. And quick if you have a question or something. :)

Problem with list servers is that it's more difficult to go back and look for that one email that had something that wasn't interesting or what ever then but would be now. I run several list servers for astronomy clubs in eastern Texas and I prefer the forums.
