So, here is a valid question.... what if someone (moi perchance) wanted to take sports pictures, but had no experience and no relatives/friends on the team, but lived 2 blocks away from a major park&rec league park woth 12 or more fields? What would be your response as this guy when approached by concerned people?

Just tell them you're taking a class at a local college and to mind their own business.

This is a decent solution, just be mindful that if you show up there toooooo many times they will start to suspect a ruse. Then of course they'll label you the pedo and you'll have crazy obnoxious parents beating down your door with pitchforks. If you just want to try your hand at it, give it a shot though! If you want trouble free (as far as I can tell at least) sports shooting I really recommend high school in-gym sports. Sure lighting sucks, but I've never been hassled by anyone accept teenage girls wanting a picture with their friends.

I've always found it curious that people will advertise their child's name and sport and school/team all over the back of their vehicle...

Sorry, unclear, yes, thats what the LEO/Courts have to prove occurred. I'd be really, really reluctant to make an arrest on this unless I caught the guy/gal "pleasuring" themselves at the time.

If you really consider the "B" part, you have no idea what would cause 'any person' to become gratified or sexually aroused. This could really prevent taking photos of just about anything. This is indeed a very vague statue and I bet will someday get challenged... just as long as I am not that person.

What's also ssa sdrawkcab is the fact that parents will do backflips if a news crew shows up to a game and starts filming. Then its "my son's on TV, my son's on TV!!" umm...what's the difference between having his image blasted to millions of TiVo-ers as opposed to me running a site where the only visitors are those who i've advertised it to- the parents at the games?
