I would imagine companies consider that proprietary data. I work for TI and I know I couldn't provide you with any hardware data beyond what's previously been given to the press.

Not the top secret proprietary images. Just the engineering picture that I see in engineering mags and on their website. The hologram pics look pretty cool...

This one isn't too big, but a two minutes search on Google images found this...

It must be cached on my system, since I see it. I take it you're seeing some 'stolen from' banner.

These are the types of pictures I am looking for. Except maybe in higher quality.

Then you know exactly where to get them...

Honestly they are the only ones who could possibly create these images. Any other attempts would be by competitors (hello AMD) and they certainly wouldn't publish them. The type of equipment needed to create them is most likely very specialized and only used in the industry.

Not sure you will get higher quality/resolution than this. I am a CPU designer myself. These photos are taken for marketing purposes and they go into powerpoint presentations etc. Because of this, you won't find higher resolution than what you have listed (about 4MB). Here is another link, http://www.intel.com/pressroom/archi...s/centrino.htm (I found this by doing a google search for "intel die photo").

Just do a Yahoo image search on CPU. I saw a few that would probably suffice. Also, peruse Tom's Hardware (www.tomshardware.com) or Anandtech (www.anandtech.com).

Just looking at the Intel link.... those are some awesome images, but what strikes me is how utterly primitive the 8088 class chips look compared to today's chips.
