Well school has been keeping me busy, understatment, but I have dropped in a few times for a quick look around.Man Anatomy is going to kill me if the math doesn't do it first! Three weeks ago my wife blew the engine in her car, which just went out of warranty, and the local shops wanted $2500 for just the labor to repair it. Wouldn't you know it would happen right in the middle of mid terms! I managed to tear it down and replace the water pump which had went out and also replace the head that had warped. Will I was in there and had it as far down as I did I went ahead and installed new rings and bearings, she now has a new engine. I never want to take on a project like that again while studing for three exams! I wasn't going to pay a mechanic $2500 + the cost of parts when the whole job cost me $575.
Hopefully things will slow down soon and I can get back on here regularly and maybe I'll even have time to pick up the camera again.
Everyone take it easy.

I'm tryin' to take it easy, but it ain't happening!
I just got done with a little over seven hours of engineering homework, and I've got about another two hours to go. Then maybe two hours of Cal 3 homework, some reading for History, and a video to watch for Theatre history. No, I'm not going to get it all done tonight!

Go ahead--I've got enough meals left on my meal plan to feed half of TPF for a week.

I think it's really funny to hear just how 'hard' college is. Consider it boot camp for the real world. I don't think you want to trade me for my current project which is a 7 figure development effort with hardware, software and test spread across 12 time zones, three sub contractors, and two customers. Conference calls at 1AM anyone? Ever done import/export paperwork?
Study hard and you too get to join the 'real' world

One thing at a time, Scott...
College is the most challenging thing I've been through so far in my life. I know quite well that it only gets harder from here! But I've got another three and a half years of "boot camp" to go through before I have to worry about the "real world". Ahhhhh...

I might be an odd ball but the real world was a lot easier for me than this college stuff. I've always been more of a hands on type learner and this setting in a lecture listening to someone talk about homestasis or cell development just doesn't seem to soak in as well. Tried to talk the professor into letting me cut up a body but we couldn't get any volunteers in the class . There's no doubt about the stress in the work enviroment and I had more than my share working in a plant for the last 16 years but the stress in college seems to eat at me a little more. Real world if I couldn't figure out a piece of equipment I just keep plugging away at it till I figured it out, in class I get one chance and if it's wrong I get a failing grade. To top it all off! They don't even take it easy on use old farts! Don't they know a few million of my brain cells have died from old age!

I have a good friend who's worked in the software industry before and needs--and I mean NEEDS--a good job.
