How to shoot a picture for grief of losing family? - 11-02-2006, 12:27 AM

It's not a pleasant subject. Here's one of my friends who helped and taught me about photography through Internet just lost his oldest son. His son was only 17 and died in a car accident last week. This friend and I only chatted online so I won't be able to send anything to his actual address. I want to take a relative picture to express my mourning and my condolences. Could anyone have me to have an idea.

Thanks,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "relative picture"....Having lost my brother, some of the kindest things people did for us were take pictures Andy had taken for them and printed and framed their favorites....not sure that is a possiblity here. Any thing that shows your sympathy is very kind for a loss that can't be comforted.

Some of the most heart touching moments after losing my son...was Words... Words people wrote ... about my son.. I received Poetry also... its a hard to put it into perspective.. the family will be numb .. I re read those words.. every year on my sons death date.. just to remind my self what a wonderful young man he was... words I cling to and always will.. just a suggestion on a Parent who lost a child...;-) Janice

Thank you, John. And thank you, Joanna and Janice, for sharing. I am sorry for the lost you had, too. I think I will use the tiny white wild followers in my backyard. Here's a work another photographer friend showing her condolence.
