Holy S**t Batman! - 11-02-2006, 09:51 PM

My wife found a box stuffed away in a closet. Inside was a treasure beyond hope, slides and photographs I took in 1975-1976 while I was living in Japan! I'll try and post some as I scan them in, unreal to have found these treasures after all this time. Some were shot on a Kodak 110, some in 35mm using a Konica T-3 autoreflex, and some using some sort of Kodak 126 camera. I discovered that I had scanned them in mirrored at first, so the one of the boat is 180 degrees out of sync. I was 15/16 years old when I took these.

I lived there for three years from 1988 to 1991 and hardly took any pictures at all. What part of Japan are these from?

IIRC they were taken around Mt. Fuji for some of them, and the rest not far from Tokyo.

It really is. I loved Japan, and would go back in a New York minute.

I also just found 100+ negatives that I shot as a yearbook photographer in 75-76-77! Mostly tri-x with some plus-x or Fuji Neopan.

Last one, I promise: This slide was badly damaged, and I hope I was able to restore the worst to something viewable.
