OMG - 07 BMW 335i - 11-07-2006, 02:22 PM

So my puny little E46 330i is getting an alignment today and they foolishly gave me a brand spankin' new '07 335i as a loaner. I'm not a stranger to high powered cars, but this one just blows me away. Even with only 50 miles on the car and the engine super tight, this thing is a rocket ship. My wife has a Volvo S60 with a turbo that I simply despise driving. The BMW is a complete dream. I can't really feel any turbo lag and when the RPMs get into the fun range it's almost scary fast. The DSC gets a workout if you're not careful. Even with 50 less HP than my S4, this car is a real thrill. I was totally bored with the E90 325i that I got last time. This one makes up for it in spades.

If you're looking for a fun sedan to drive, give the 335i a spot on your list to test. I'm heavily in lust at the moment.

I do not like the 3 series BMW. Minimum I would get the 745 or the M5. I am currently saving up for the M5 :)

I'd rather swing for the CTS-V or STS myself.

I too would love to have an M5, but realistically you can nearly buy two 335is for the price of one M5. That and I thought I'd never be saying this, but the 'new' Chris Bangle designs are starting to grow on me.

I keep trying to get the 'sucker' stamp off my forehead, but it just stays there.

Nice.... I also dont care for the 3 series (too small) but they are still nice cars.
I had a 2001 530i for a while. Best car I ever had. Man that car was a dream, but other hobbies came around and a lower car payment was needed, plus I needed something with more ground clearance.

while keeping it real, my dream car would be an M5.

I still want a Griffith 500. I'd settle for Tuscan though.

I much prefer the new 3-series styling to the 5, 6 or 7, Bangle really screwed those up. I'm confused by the picture though, I thought the new turbo was only available as a coupe so far?

Looks like a sweet ride. I like BMW, I just think that they're a bit overpriced by the time you get the more powerful engine and other options (many of which are standard on the competition).

The lease on my '03 G35 Sedan is up at the end of this month, and I'm seriously considering another G35 now that the 07 is here and it looks like they've made quite a few improvements.

I've worked as a valet parking technician (haha ) so I've driven them all.....

That being said... My dream card is still the M3. The looks, the power, the way it drives..... everything!
