LOL, "damn tourists" :) I said that most of my life, every summer when 3 + million people would ride through town. Page is actually where I grew up! Lived there for 20 years.

Did you drive over to Horseshoe Bend? Another great place if you had the time is Paria Canyon http://www.utahwild.com/desert_canyo...a_canyon.shtml That's a little bit of a hike though.

Sorry to hear about your experience. We went in June and took the photog's tour at noon. Stayed about 2 1/2 hours and never had a problem. Magical place. Make sure you check out Horseshoe bend just south of Page if you get the change. It's about a mile and half hike in (some on really soft/deep sand) but its beautiful! Be sure to take a wide angle lens (mine wasn't wide enough and I regret it).

Paul, I would have gone to lower antelope, but being in the physical shape i'm in, I couldn't make it. Maybe in a couple of years ;)

Don't get me wrong, it was fun, and I appreciated it - it just seems that there are people (and its no matter where you go) that think they have the right to declare it their personal property for the 2 1/2 hours that you are there and screw everyone else.
