This is the kinda thing I've wanted to shoot for a long time...
I am really wanting to go, but I have to work out how to get there since my car is broken and my wife needs hers...

Most likley will be one guy screaming at the Capitol on the south steps for a while and then nothing.

I may be up there. Kind of scared though, I don't quite fit their ideal member (half of me is asian, the best half of course) and don't really fancy getting chased by hordes of angry men. If I do get something I'll post it, sounds like a really interesting event. Anyone else going up?

A couple tips on shooting this:

One the sun will be shining well on those steps since it is in the southern hemisphere now so probably won't need any fill flash.

Two when and if a cop says MOVE- MOVE don't think about it- the less problems/obstacles that you give the cops the better that they will treat you-not sure about Austin Cops or the Capital Police but if you respect them they will give you some respect. (anybody deal with either group before? Maybe arrive early and talk to some of the officers there and see if they have any ground rules set).

Be aware of what is around you at all times-at least at this location there won't be cars going by on a street.

Park a couple blocks away from the location, no need to have it spread out and mess up your car.

I would guess maybe 20-30 of the Party members there but could be more.

I have experience with Austin Cops, but we wont go into that now...

If you are trying to be a PJ (photo journalist) then don't spout out your own views to either party. Now if you are actually trying to write a "blog" or have a stringer assignment with a paper then "Interview" the participants but if your out just shooting-STAY QUITE!
