Yea, I dunno... It's swollen or something and won't open all the way, and kinda blurry. I thought it would go away, but it's been a few hours and hasn't. There isn't anything in it that I can see (lol). I'm thinkin bout going to the doc before I go shoot the rally downtown today (if I go), but not sure yet...

Anyway, here is a pic for your amusement... I kinda look like this --->

OMG! looks like an allergic reaction to something. Have you taken any allergy meds like benidryl?

any crusty stuff in there? or just swollen?

there may be something in there causing irritation, or you've got yourself some pink eye (aka conjunctivitis).

I've had that, not pretty, and certainly can be contagious - like if you've used a towel that someone also has used to wipe their face on, you may have got it that way.

I'd go to a doc anyway.

I'd definitely go to the doctor. Conjunctiv-eye-tis can be very annoying. Get some drops and get all cured up.

I went to the doc, and he said he didn't know what it is. No really, he said that. He said it *might* be Conjunctivitis, but he wasn't sure. He said it it gets more red, more swollen, more sore, or any combination of the group, go straight to an eye doc. Otherwise, it will probably go away... WTF diagnosis? lol

It stinks that your doctor has no clue.... I had conjunctivitis once. I woke up one morning and my right eye would not open. I was pretty disturbed by this until I got to the bathroom mirror and discovered why, and then I was just grossed out. I had all this gunk in my eye that had effectively glued it shut overnight. I don't really know anything about conjunctivitis outside of my experience. I would say if your eye gets crusty that's probably what it is; otherwise it's probably an allergic reaction. I would go to an eye doc. One time our dog got something like what you had. We figured a bug had bitten her or something. She was an outside dog, so we didn't know. I think the vet told us to give her benadryl and she was fine. Good luck, hope it gets better soon!

I knew a guy who woke up one day with similar symptoms. It turned out to be eye herpes. His was Type II. The doc treated it, and it went away.

Ever since then, our favorite saying is "Just don't let them lick you in the eye".

True story.

When I first learned you could get herpes in your eyes I was totally freaked out. Plus, apparently you can get gonorrhea in your throat! Blech!

Good luck with your eye. Did the doc suggest warm compresses? Eye problems are common with kids, so all my kiddo manuals say to use warm compresses. Not sure if they really help, but it might make it feel better.

Now you have an excuse to close your left eye when you shoot. (be glad it wasn't your right eye!)
