Dream Cars? - 11-13-2006, 09:52 PM

I saw another thread where someone said that they had spotted their dream car. It got me to wondering what would be a "dream car" for everyone else.

Mine would be either the Porsche 911 Turbo..

Or the Ferrari 599 GTB (ya gotta love the sexy lines on the red head here)

Something with four wheels and a seat. Functional steering would be a plus.

I hope they hold up better than most Pontiacs.. LOL

My dad had a 67 GTO.. Waterpump went out on it in the first 100miles. Nothing but trouble after that.. He obviously got a lemon.

I owned (AND DON'T LAUGH TOO HARD!!!) a 1978 Black Trans AM. (Yes the same one as in Smokey and the Bandit. LOL!!) Loved that 400 engine. Brakes sucked. And now I refer to the hood as the one with the "Super Chicken" on it. It was cool when I was 17 though. :)

Right now..I am eying a BMW M3 Coupe. Before I had a kid, I owned 2 different BMW 3 series and loved em. I almost got the M3, but decided I needed a more practical vehical. So.. I go and buy a Tahoe.. then the gas prices promptly double. So.. I sell it for nothing, and get the ultimate practical vehical.. Honda Accord. Guess what happens...Gas prices fall from $3 down to $2 within the next month. KILL ME!

I like the M5 quite a bit too.. but a little too rich for my blood.

I still wish I had my 72 BMW 2002 tii (a/k/a the "pocket rocket"). Only about 3500 of them imported in US (and no, I was not original owner - just the idiot who thought they would restore it and then ran out of $$$). It was so cool.
