Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. Everyone thinks of seals being cute and friendly, and sharks being nothing more than big, ugly, murderous brutes.

However, such is the circle of life.

Never lost a fine salmon to one of the seals that live under the Monteray pier? Or had to drive of the seal lion from the dock before you and friend could get to his boat to go out and then clean the cockpit they had used as a litter box. Seals and sea lions are also big, ugly, smelly nunsances but unlike sharks protected.

The picture was taken from a video capture of the event. Kind of like shooting a Canon at 24 fps for 15 minutes.

that's a crystal-clear video capture.....and why the entire newspaper/web industry is moving in the direction of using video cameras
