BETA TESTING: RSS Feed for TPF - Need some testers.. - 11-25-2006, 03:14 PM

Need some testers for this new RSS Feed I've added to the forum for those users that love to use RSS Readers.

Thee RSS icon is placed on the upper right hand corner of every forum section so that members can pick and choose which sections they would like to subscribe to without having a subscription for the entire forum.

Anyways... those users that use RSS Readers, please give it a trial run and lemme know if you guys have any problems with it please...

thanks.

I don't know a whole lot about RSS, so I don't know if this can be changed, but...
It doesn't show the last poster on a thread, or when the last post was, so there isn't any way to see if a particular thread was updated, but only if a whole new thread was made... Any way to change that?

Just giving feedback and tryin to help... :)

Maybe I don't know what I am doing, but I couldn't get anything to work. I tried to click on everything on the screen. There were only two threads listed. I was using Mozilla.

it seems it will only list new threads created within the section.... not responses to existing ones.

you do have the option to subscribe to a thread without actually having to reply to it. when viewing the thread, select the THREAD TOOLS pull down and in there you will see a SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD option. simply select that and it will give you an option on subscriptions and then click OK
