Warning: Total Mommy "brag" post coming up.
We're doing an all "home-made" Christmas this year. I've been trying to make gifts that I know my girls will like, but won't break the Christmas bank. This morning I finished up some playsilk wings for my daughter. They're made from silk blanks purchased from Dharma Trading company. The silk is dyed with koolaide and the wings are made from a ribbon that gathers down the center of the square. Two loops are attatched to the top of the wings for handles.
I just had to share the pictures of her test running her new wings. And yess, she's trying the wings out BEFORE Christmas. lol. Thankfully she has a horrible memory. By the time Christmas rolls around she'll be pleasantly surprised to find the wings wrapped up for her as a gift.
