In need of some inspiration?????

A friend of mine shared an amazing and inspirational story with me yesterday. It's the kind of story that will bring tears to your eyes (even you tough guys will at least have a lump in your throat). I'm posting it here because it's the kind of story that is most definitely meant to be shared. Take a few minutes to read the story and then watch the video clip at the end (best with sound because the music is lovely as well.)

Glad you guys like it. I agree, it's a truly amazing story... one that speaks of love, of courage, of depth of spirit, of heroism, of strength, of will, of hope, and so much more. I have a brother, one year older than myself, who broke his neck at the age of 19 and has been living as a quadriplegic ever since. The thought that came to my mind when I saw this story was "WOW, and I've had a hard time just trying to think of a way to take my brother on one amazing trip!"

I've watched the video 4 times in the last 24 hours and haven't gotten through it without shedding a few tears yet. I imagine I may well watch it every day for the rest of my life just to remind myself just how blessed I am, and that no matter what... I CAN!

I saw them both on Oprah a while back and heard their story again on the radio from Kidd Kraddick. You know the one thing that I always think is that the love of a parent for their child is amazing stuff. The capacity for love and kindness is there, we all just have to tap into it.
