Yeah. Some of those Yankees have strange eating habits.
When I lived in Allentown PA in the late 50's, "Cannibal" Burgers were a hip thing! ...Raw Hamburger meat on a bun!!!

I've eaten Armadillo and it tastes like pork. Seriously, I'm surprised how most Americans just don't have a taste for interesting meats. Also praire dog is good and if fixed like vension tips with a burgandy sauce.

As an a survival school intructor once told me if it moves you can eat it.

I've tried to live by than when I hunt and travel.

As for how much a pound, why buy it when it's free for the taking.

Try some wagyu sashimi some time. I've gone beyond sushi to sashimi.

As if you can find the right Italian restruant try the carne cruda.

Ah that's nothin'. You should give French Fried Skunk a try.

And check out some of the other "main dishes".

EA-6A. I flew this one in the Navy (VAQ-33) back in the 80's. It is now on static display, in it's original "Playboy" colors, at MCAS Cherry Point.

Cool... I used to know a guy (Danial) that flew the EA6B in the Navy. I lost track of him. I knew him through a VTX (motorcycle) forum and at the moment I'm drawing a blank on his last name. Anyway... he had nothing but good words for the aircraft. It's not as sexy as the FA18 or F14 it apparently is a joy to fly.

Thanks for being there for us...

My uncle once mentioned that my granddad used to hunt skunks when a boy. I asked "Did he have any friends?" My uncle said "Well, there were some other boys that hunted skunks with him...". (They were after furs, not meat, I believe.) Later my dad mentioned he had heard about one of my uncles getting sent home from school due to skunk smell.

"But turtles, frogs, iguana and armadillos can be eaten under one condition: The meat must come from a licensed and inspected facility." The problem with that is that you can't raise domesticated armadillos in Texas, and can't sell wild ones in NYC. They need to get together and work out details.

I've read that a significant percentage of armadillos carry (but are not infected by) leprosy, for what that is worth.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.

For me, eating an Armadillo wouldn't be much different than eating a Javalina boar... ain't gonna happen.
