Just got my Mpix prints in!! - 12-08-2006, 08:56 PM

THanks to the thread on here about where people do their online printing, and based on the resulting research I did based off that, I tried mpix out. Wow! Beautiful.

I ordered them like FOUR days ago... I was shocked to come home and find them on my doorstep, esp considereing it's the xmas season.

My friend that was with me literally gasped. They're absolutely beautiful. BIG difference between those prints and walgreens!!!!! I ordered some 8x10's and 8x12's... they were amazing. Esp the b/w guitar one!!

THanks to the thread and all those who posted on it.

Mpix rocks.

I'll be ordering quite a bit from them in the next few months I think...

My first portrait clients were very pleased with Mpix prints earlier this week. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and just ordered more this evening.

I agree with you guys.... the photos came out EXACTLY like they looked in photoshop, cropping and everything, except that they were even more beautiful :) The colors popped off the prints... I was just beside myself when I got them back. ANd the turnaround was very fast considering the season.

I about fell over when I saw the 8x12 for this little diddy:

I ordered some from MPIX. I was quite impress with 1) how fast I got them back and 2) how beautiful they looked compared to other places I have printed.

I highly recommend them. If you havent used them before, log onto the page and ask for a paper sample to start with. Trust me :)

TJ, next you need to try the Kodak Metallic paper they offer. I think stuff with deep blacks looks especially nice on it. Really anything...it's very unique if you've never seen it before. Mpix will send you paper samples if you request it.

Also, on the b&w print you showed, did you get their Ilford "true digital b&w paper" or regular Kodak E-surface? I found the b&w paper too matte for my taste...kinda flat.
