Teacher charged with improper photography of students
Associated Press

AUSTIN - A high school teacher was arrested and charged with improper photography after police said he made videos and took photos of female students who didn't know they were being photographed.

The photos appear to show "inappropriate" images of clothed female students at school and at a mall, said Austin police spokesman Kevin Buchman. Detectives are still investigating the case, he said.

Page White, a math teacher at Austin's Travis High School, was arrested Saturday in San Antonio while conducting a field trip, Buchman said.

Just another day in Texas, don't forget about the big stink up in McKinney where some High School Cheerleaders had photos taken at/in a Condom Sense store, one of the girls being the daughter of the principle of the school.

A while back (can't remember where or when) I heard on the news about a photography teacher getting in trouble for one of the students projects. kid had borrowed some of the guns from one of the other school departments and set up like a wwii renactment type thing, but no one informed the principle and such and someone saw him outside setting everything up in full camo and stuff and called the police on a tip for a "high school shooting" scare.

You can't take pictures of anyone without their knowledge (consent), if the purpose of the picture is to provide sexual gratification to any person. Someone better be careful with his roadkill pictures...

That was at Mansfield High School .. and it was the art teacher that made that particular mistake.. they were going to stage the Iwo Jima picture, if I remember right.

The DA's office says the law related to that charge is vague, but it's a felony if you take someone's picture without their knowing it and use it for sexual gratification.

The DA's office says they'll try to get the Legislature to more clearly define the law in this upcoming session.

WOW. What if I am deeply into large crowds as a sexual turn on ? If I take a photo at a Cowboys game will I be arrested ?

How would anyone know something was used for sexual gratification unless the perp confessed ?

If you want to use my photo for such activities, go for it. It doesn't hurt me a bit, until you publish it all over the media.

Well, that picture on the other thread of the guy wearing all the cameras turned me on. I guess it's a good thing I didn't take it!
