That's no small collection of nice lenses floating around there.

Don't get me started about that damn iPod. I am one of the people who had to certify it for spaceflight!! Ugh, long story, but I did figure out how to pull the batteries out, which we had to do since that type of battery was not approved for flight on the orbiter. There is also a pair of Sony DVD players that I am partially responsible for.

Man, it's like where's waldo trying to find that Ipod. So, are they shooting film? I thought the space program was the first to utilize digital photography?

Steve Gandy has a NASA Digital Nikon for sale.

Here's a bit about it.

Cool.

Must mean that there are no noise issues in space!

They shoot digital. I'll try and figure out which of the photo galleries are public access and share some links with you.

I found Waldo!

I had a chance to use a NASA Nikon Kodak DCS. What a beast! But, I was told it was certified so it still goes into space.

Try these:

http://kavewest.usa-extra.com/
This one may be internal only. There are some awesome videos from the SRB cameras from launch all the way to touchdown in the ocean.

http://hubblesite.org/
This one I know is public access. Some photos from the Hubble.

http://images.jsc.nasa.gov/
Not sure on this one either. This is the JSC imagery collection, with all kinds of photos through out the history of the space program.

http://mediaarchive.ksc.nasa.gov/index.cfm
This one is KSC's image page. There are some great shots of the shuttle here. I think it is public access.

http://jsc-isd-vid02/screeningroom/explore.asp
Another JSC gallery with amazing photos and videos. Must be viewed with Internet Explorer.

Unfortunately the ISS photo database is down. They have incredible photos taken from the space station of the Earth and the shuttle.

If some of these are not public access, let me know and I can remove them. I had just replaced my home computer's hard drive, so I couldn't screen them first.

BUT, aren't those rolls of film all the way to the right?

They sure look to be. I could check with one of my old coworkers and see when they are still shooting with the film ones.

Here is another link to try:
