And to anyone in a realtionship, I will recommend 2 books, both by Shauti Feldhahn. For Men Only and For Women Only, read the one that applies to you, If i had read these books 7 months ago, I would still be married, and reaping the rewards of what I learned in them.

Dont worry about it Torrey. It was my mistakes and selfishness that cost me everything. But I do want to point the books out. I have a couple of spares if anyone would like to borrow them.

Hey Dave... I hate to resurrect a painfgul thread like this one but I wanted to let you know that in spite of your hard times I am grateful that you put the For Men Only title out there. I read a few of those types of books way back when I first got divorced and they pretty much all sucked. The book you mentioned was right on target. I've got a few female friends that I "tested" and I was completely astounded that they 100% supported the very simple yet hard to know concepts that are given in the book. It's amazing to me that I have gone through "more than a few" years of life without having a clue about the differences in the way that men and women process information. I'm assuming that some people already recognize what the book covers since there seems to be a lot of happily married people out there but I for damned sure didn't know that stuff and I thought that I knew women pretty well. I was finally able to close the last chapter with my ex wife thanks to what I read in the book. It was a good Christams gift and I thank you for pointing it out.

I know it doesn't seem like it right now, but it will get better. Don't dwell on the negative. Reach down, grab your bootstraps, and pull yourself back up. I think that you said that you have kids. Kids are wonderful and typically impartial people to hang out with. They will help you through the hard times. Don't dwell on the coulda, shoulda, and woulda. The time for that is gone. Get your mind right. Get your self esteem where it needs to be. Work on Dave... You'll be fine.

Thanks fro the thought Michael. The books are amazing arent they? I swear i would be married if I had read them 2 months before she filed. It has been both the "Best" and "Worst" thing that has ever happened to me. The best because it got me right with the Lord, and it showed me lots of areas that i am working on. Havent had a beer in 6 months, and will never drink again. Gone from over a pack a day to 6-7 cigs a day. so that has all been good. You should ask the Ex to read the For Women Only Book. If she will, it will also help her in the future.
