I just bought a new computer and it a windows base. I want to know what's the best software to use to edit my pictures. I have never use any software to edit my pictures since I was always happy the way they came out. But now I want to edit my pictures, but I don't know what the best software to use? Can anyone give me some advise on what to purchase?

Free: Google Picasa, IrfanView, XnView, Adobe Lightroom (beta)

Buy: Adobe CS2 (Photoshop)

About.com has free Photoshop tutorials that are VERY basic.

I"m sure someone else knows more than me, too!

Adobe Photoshop CS2....although the CS3 version (beta) is out.....

I also purchased "CS2 for Dummies" and I'm making my way thru that slowly...trying to read a chapter, "practice" with what I've learned...read some more, practice some more. I'll have to check out about.com -- thanks for that tip! Check out www.photoshopseminars.com. Good luck! I'm really enjoying learning the Photoshop and all the cool things you can do....
