Apparently some African outfitter has put up a live web cam at one of the local watering holes. Sometimes there are no animals present, but often you can see monkeys, lions, birds, etc. There was a herd of zebras there a few minutes ago.

I've watched it for 20 or so minutes now and have only seen birds. Are you sure this thing isn't 'looped'?

I love this.... Looks like the critters just got up. Someone is manning the cam right now and zooming in on different animals.

We have seen elephant, cape buffalo, hyena, baboon, all sorts of antelope and wart hog. My wife keeps it up on the pc in her class room. Her 4th grade boys enjoy it. The 8 hour time difference (7 w/o daylight savings time) makes it hard to watch much, although there are things going bump in the night. They operate it by remote control during the day and early evening. The lodge is to the left of the watering hole around 10:00 position. Sometimes you will hear the voice of a guide or camear hunter in the background.

I am rolling on the floor with laughter.....

I was emailing a friend with the link, and explaining that sometimes there is nothing to see and sometimes it is interesting.

As I'm typing, a group of some kind of buffalos walked across the field and one stopped, I think it looked at the camera, and then peeed for all to see........

Just saw a lion take down a water buffalo...OH! Wait, I was wrong. It was Donald Trump taking down Rosie O'Donnell...I must have been on the wrong channel! I was confused because the resemblance between Rosie and the Water Buffalo is uncanny...but that is an insult to the water buffalo!

But I digress. That is an awesome site! I think I will bookmark it for future viewing. It did scare the crap out of me a minute ago though. Apparently there was a very large and/or noisy bird either perched next to, or on top of the camera microphone, when it decided to make a heck of a racket!

There are no water buffalo in Africa. Those were Cape Buffalos.

That's a big pet-peeve of mine.

Robert Ruark once said that the Cape buffalo looks at you like you owe him money. Well said.

You have to be carefull around kids when the baboon are around. They often get pretty graphic.
