I didn't catch the cause of death but he has been ill the past few years, NBC just did a break in on the news announcing it.
Guess the funeral will be in a few days. | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

May be pneumonia or heart failure at 93, he was still in pretty good health until he turned 90 turns out to be the President who lived to be the oldest with Reagan coming in second also at 93 but fewer days.
Little bits of information coming out, he was living in California in the desert area about 130 miles east of LA so not sure if the services will be in CA or DC.

Wow, I would say news moves fast. How about that. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061227/...e_us/obit_ford
What I did not know about Pres. Ford was he was not elected and only was in the White House 865 days. I wasnt alive yet while he was in office, but surprised to learn about this.

My wife and I were watching the Kennedy Honors thing this evening and every time they cut to President Bush he had a look on his face like something was wrong. Kind of the same look he had in the classroom on 9/11 when he was told about the trade center. I wonder if that's what it was.

For example the obit reels you saw on Robert Altman on TV a few weeks ago I worked on that back in 1999.
So that is why they can get the news out fast with the pre obit reels.

Yeah the video/film clips take longer than the print stories but with the NET now print stories can be researched on someone like him and out on the wire in a dozen minutes by a good researcher.

I know that two weeks ago, Drudge had posted something to the affect that "sources state Ford's health on decline....more to follow...." I kept checking and they took that down after two days.
