MPix Frames - 12-27-2006, 07:43 AM

I had a couple of images printed for Christmas gifts. Since it was a last minute deal I used MPix framing service. They came without glass... or anything... no plastic... nothing. Just the image stuck in a frame

I like MPix... Their service has been very good. But I don't think that I'll be using their framing service again...

This sounds pretty unusual. Have you contacted them to see if this was normal? It might have been a screw-up on their part.

It is normal. I can not remember where I read that though. I thought it was on their website, but just now looked and could not find it.

They state on their web site that their frames do not include glass, but this statement isn't where I think it should be. Nevertheless, here it is:

There are quite a few online "framers" that do not ship with glass/acrylic installed. I guess the shipping and insurance costs are just too high to get it there unbroken.

Prophet out.

Canon 300D, Canon 5D and some glass and stuff. Wan'na make something of it?.

I guess that makes good sense, I know I wouldn't be thrilled if I got a frame and the glass was broken.

And the shards of broken glass had scratched the print. :-(

That makes sense and I missed the note about not having glass or acrylic. Walmart frames look as good as the ones that I bought (not their "best" so that's not a slam on MPix. I like MPix. Their service is great).
