I have Skype too. Been using it about a year. It's great for calling to and from overseas, as well as making calls in US - Canada at a much lower rate (.02 cents/min) as opposed to the rip-off rate of AT&T.

I use Skype all the time, especially to keep in touch with my parents and friends back in the UK. My Dad is usually online and I have SkypeOut to call my mother on her landline phone. We video chat with friends. It's great, it really helps us stay in touch.

We use it and love the video conferencing feature. Both me, my wife, both sets of parents, cousin, and 2 sisters all have webcams and it's pretty darn cool.

After fooling with Microsoft Live Messenger and it crashing 2 different brand new laptops repeatedly, and locking my workstation up every couple of days...I ditched that.

So far, I like Skype the best for video calls even though the video functionality is only in beta.

I've been using skype for some time now (2 years?), both for dialing out and computer-to-computer conversations. It is a great alternative to landlines, and even to ever increasing number of other VoIP offerings.

I also use skype chat, where you can conveniently send/receive files while chatting. Conference calls are available, as well as chat rooms.

my skype username: srdanz

ps. I'd like to see that visual interpretation of skype someone (tiffany?) mentioned above
