...on the futon, just a few minutes ago. Apperrantly, it was killed by Maxx, our cat, and either played with by Sophie, our dog, or Maxx was cleaning it for me .

That subject has a lot of possibilities. Maybe a lower angle and get the facial expression, looks like some interesting things could be done working in close on the paws and the hair.

kudos to Maxx....a reward is in order.
My dad has caught (and released into the wild) over 50 last year alone in his standard city backyard (San Antonio). They have absolutely overrun the area and made a significant dent in his pecan harvest.
The neighbor is less charitable, he's shot over 100 in the same time.......

Ken, didn't realize squirrels were such a problem. I'm just glad he can still hunt since he's a front de-claw. Our last cat was completely de-clawed (vet error) and would still kill all kinds of animals.
Stovall, close-up of the face was not pretty.
Ken, I hope Fran didn't chew it up.
Jason, hey, my wife likes that cover. :)
Al, squirrel stew is disgusting... squirrel fajitas... to die for (pun intended).
