Hauntingly Beautiful Music ... - 01-10-2007, 10:29 AM

I have .... oh let's call it a varied taste in music. I like all kinds of stuff. From the Beastie Boys to Mozart. From Hank Williams Jr. to Faith No More. Whether it's Weird Al or Sarah Brightman there are all kinds of music that I like.

Having said that I would like to point out I don't know bunk about music. Nothing. Not one thing. Not even half a thing. If my life depending on telling you what insturment was being played, reading a sheet of music or naming a style of tempo you could just save us both the time and kill me now.

But lately I have been listening to alot of music that is ... well hauntingly beautiful. Kind of strange, mostly instrumental music that relaxes and stimulates the mind. Things are almost familiar but just new enough to inspire.

I highly recommend some of the following music for the musically ... variant such as myself.Just thought I would share.

Prophet out.

Have you tried the New Age genre? It ranges from orchestra(s) to Celtic and some native type music.

Search mp3.com for Gnomusy or google it. "Dolmen Ridge" is my fav (cranked up high).

Soundclick
has free downloads for David's Gnomusy music.

If you like soundtracks, you should listen to the soundtrack for Conan the Barbarian, by Basil Poledouris. I loved the movie, but I love the music even more.

You can hear pieces of it HERE
