Epson rocks! - 01-13-2007, 10:31 AM

After a frustrating week emailing Epson to get my F**king R2400 fixed or RMAed, I called today and spoke with an exceptionally nice lady who is sending me a brand new R2400 via 2 day UPS. After it gets here, I send my old one back, and I am back in business. It was worth the telephone call. Epson rocks.

They at least owe you that for all the dang ink waste.. LOL

I have the R2400 as well, but really get tired of wasting so much EXPENSIVE K3 Ink when a single cart runs out (light magenta and black for me all the time). That cleaning/recharge after changing a single cart drives me nuts. I realize I could get a higher capacity Epson, but I don't print enough to warrant that. I am eying that new Canon..

But for now, I really like the results the R2400 gives.. But it's just a bit wasteful in my mind.

In reference to your message... I do find that very decent of them. Glad to hear it!

man, hearing that clearing sequence went off really hurt, isn't it? LOL. The funny thing is if you have more than 2 nearly empty carts but you keep it there hoping to get the last drop of it and it usually doesn't work. You changed the last one, it went off cleaning mode and that cleaned out the last 2nd one right away. :) :( !__! @___@

I've had a good experience with Epson as well...when my R300 quit, I wrote a letter...got a call from a lady at Epson, asking for proof of purchase, etc. They sent me a new R340, and let me keep the busted R300...I did purchase an R1800 in the interim because I needed a printer, but I can't say enough about their customer service at this point...

I'm about to pick up my first epson for photos...I still rely on my HP multifunction for text though cause the Epson CX6000 didn't impress me too much. Might have to do more research on it.

Now this is weird, the Epson guy at Imaging USA told me to load my 190 gsm Entrada paper singly since it is mat, has dust and causes problems with the sheet feeder on the 2400. Thats just plain nuts. I understand the 300+ gsm stuff, but the 190?! How weird. Thats why my printer died he said, and would no longer load paper. If thats the case then my have a sheet feeder at all?
