Anyone else getting tired of 18% Gray - 01-20-2007, 04:01 PM

Dang weather. It's got everyone cooped up inside. No sunshine = grumpy boys and girls. I know that I'm getting grumpy and contentious... er... grumpier and contentiouser <-- my newest word. Do you like it? TOO BAD if you don't grumble grumble grumble See what I mean.

Maybe we should get a bumper sticker for the forum that reads:

Type and read with caution. Grumpy, contentious, sun starved photographers on board...

Thank God I get to hop in my pickup in the morning and drive 1,500 miles to PA where it's snowing and nasty not raining and nasty like it is here. Woohoo... Yippee... Yee ha (it is a Texas forum after all) I suppose that doing that is marginally better than being set on fire... and put out with an ice pick? Maybe?

Actually, I kind of like it. It make colors seem more saturated and makes one think about B&W done in warm grays on matte paper.

Anyone can take pictures of things in the sun but it taking them in the gray is to grow.

Yeah... it's not bad for photography but people don't do well in it. It's not healthy...

18% grey isn't bothering me very much right now. Being sick is.

My hands have started to twitch and my viewfinder eye blinks uncontrolably...My God, could it possible be cold-turkey withdrawl?

Around my neck of the wood it seems like 28% gray. Can't wait for the good old sun to come out again at the end of next week. Will have to knock the dust off of the camera by then.

I just came out of an all-day darkroom printing session. Plan to do much the same tomorrow. Unless, of course, the sun is shining. (maybe, huh, please ...)

You know, I was about to post the same thing earlier....

I've noticed that there seems to be a little more tension in some of the threads I've been in today. At first I thought it was just me because I recently quit smoking... but you've confirmed it for me :) It's sun withdrawal
