you might want to do some stuff on your own first before you join up for that boot camp.
streatching is real important in our older age. Go slow and easy at first to get your body warmed up for it, then go for the boot camp so it does not really put the hurtin

on you the first day or so.
soda = bad (any soda, even diet drinks are evil) I switched to crystal light, no callories and no sugar, makes water tast worth drinking.
fast food and fried foods are a HUGE no no.
portion control and increasing the number of times you eat works for most people. It did for me. Just eat smarter, read the lables on stuff you buy and try to cut what you can with out giving it all up. If you make it too hard on your self you wont want to stick with it.
always work towards a treat for all the hard work you have done that week

. I would have dessert or a shake or some ice cream on fridays, but I would work extra hard on Saturday. I really need to get back on my bike and get in shape for my upcoming trip to Big Bend
