Makes my geek heart go pitter patter.

I love this stuff. And MythBusters. My eight year old daughter is hooked on that one. She's doomed to follow in daddy's footsteps

thanks for sharing..... I wonder though how popular Wally will be with the Brit's and if they might try to dis-credit him in some way...... If Wally takes away the mystery of how it was built then people wanting to go see Stonhenge could decrease.

"I wonder though how popular Wally will be with the Brit's and if they might try to dis-credit him in some way"

Nah. There's still a mystery as to how they WERE moved. There's never been any lack of ideas as to how they might have been moved, rather just a lack of knowledge as to how they WERE moved.

If I remember right, the bigger stones were quarried a good many miles from there- they probably didn't move them to the site by teetering them around on concrete slabs.

One of these days, they'll dig a primitive hydraulic jack out of the peat bogs...

---------------------------
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.
