Is that the intense spot of super-bright light in the sky? I'd forgotten what that was called

Ah, nothing like a good round of light to bring out those itchy shutter-fingers

Being so cloudy of late, I more noticed the dark greens of the junipers, and now that it is so bright out, I see all the dull brown/gray leafless trees!

We need a cloud or 2 for contrast!

Rain, what's wrong with rain. Up here in the Pacific Northwest we like rain, keeps everything so green. Last November we broke our record for the most rain in a month. Then in December we broke our records for wind storms with more rain & snow. Then we broke a few records for lowest temperatures for some days. At the present time it is just hazy days of 40 degrees and in the 20's at night.
That's what good rain gear is good for. Of course, it makes taking landscape pictures a challenge. But on the positive side, there is plenty of snow in the mountains.
