Travel to Norway

I will start on this board first.

I will be traveling to Stavanger, Norway. Probably will change planes in Frankfurt or Oslo.

I am aware that there are carry-on restrictions going through England which are not favorable to a camera equipment bags or carry sizes.

Does anyone know if the same restrictions apply to Norway and Germany?

No, the more stringent regulations apply only for flights to/from the UK as far as I know. But airlines might have slightly different restrictions regarding size and weight of carry-on, so I would recommend checking with the airline you will be flying on.

Thanks for the info. I have checked other gov sites. I was asking info from a photog perspective. It will be a business trip but hope to get lost for a day or so.........

I went to London a few months ago, so it might have changed since then, but the tighter restrictions are only for flights out of the UK, not into. Even with the righter restrictions I was still able to take my camera, a couple of lenses, computer, books, etc with me on the way back. The limit was one bag and no liquids. Find the TSA equivalent for the country you will be flying back from and they should have the updated info. Don't bother calling TSA - they do not have info on other countries and you are on hold forever!
