ANy special events that ya'll can think of.

Not free, but cheap- the McKinney Avenue Trolley. And whip on over and see the longhorn statues. Not too expensive to go up in Reunion Tower for a look-see. Drive to Waco and walk over the suspension bridge. Go fly a kite. Go see Eisenhower's Birthplace in Denison (low cost). Look at the train parked there in Denison as well. Go to North Shore Park on Grapevine Lake, hike the first couple of miles of it. Buy Silly String for all. Make wooden, paper, or sodabottle boats and go sail them at the lake. Get a big magnet at Northern Tool and Supply, tie it to a rope, and see what you find around local piers. Have a wienie/marshmallow roast.

The Tyler zoo used to be free, but sadly, no long is. It is a pretty nice zoo for a small town, though.

I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.

Wow... Stephen had some excellent suggestions. Flying kits is always fun...I could never get the hang of it for the first couple times. Going to the lake is always something fun. I enjoy going to the park to people watch... Even the Gaylord Texan is fun to walk around. If you ever want a semi-adventure...any China town or Korea town is always fun although Houston has us beat on authenticity. ha! Hope you got to find something to do today.
