Did you realize... - 01-30-2007, 12:36 PM

That in about 30 years, digital will go the way of the dodo bird becase of some exciting new technology that seems totally uninteresting to old-school digital users? And that all of you youngsters are tomorrow's old farts that can't get with the program?

Just a thought...

---------------------------
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.

It's already out

It's a silver based emulsion fused to strips of plastic.
These high tech lengths of plastic will be contained in small metal canisters that are inserted to the backside of the camera.
Once exposed they will need to be treated with "classified" chemicals to produce an image that can be transferred to larger sheets of paper.
More details as they are released to the public.

And I would be willing to bet that they will be so advanced that they won't even require a computer to view them on! Man, that sounds absolutely cutting edge

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

Yes it will be amazing to see what happens in the next 30 years. Just look at all the changes you have witnessed over the last 30 years ago. If someone told you in 1977 that the Berlin Wall would be torn down and the Soviet Union would fall you would thought they was nuts.

I've watched Bullard come up from a 1 pony town (not even was big enough to be called a 1 horse town) to the second fastest growing town in Texas.

20 years ago it was my dream to own a 1 hour photo lab. Now with film almost dead and a digital photo printer in every Walmart, grocery store and drug store it just would be worth it now.

How time flys and things change....
