Warranty question - 02-01-2007, 12:43 PM

If you purchased a three-year warranty on an item on January 16, 2004, what would you expect to be the last day that you could submit a claim under that warranty?

yeah, I kinda thought that was the case.

Don't you know that you should NEVER let the purchased item know how long the warranty will last? These things aren't just inanimate objects...they're smart...and they know to break just after the warranty's up.....

regardless, good luck. Good does happen!

The only time I've ever dealth with that issue was several years ago and it was explained to me in great detail by the warranty provider that 3 years (in this case) runs from the date of purchase + 3 years or until January 15, 2007. When I bought the extra warranty, I was assured that it kicked in AFTER the manufacturer's warranty expired, giving me 4 years of warranty instead of 3.
NOT! The silly buggers... I haven't been in their store since.
