i (with another guy) designed something similar to this--on a budget about 1000 times smaller, lol--for my senior design project using matlab and visual basic. Hey, it landed me my current job. They stole our work

my next step would be to develop countermeasures that include a massive, overwhelming and near immediate response by the 6000 or so round-per-minute lead-slingers......it could trace the bullet to the source, then obliterate the source in milliseconds.

poof!

Hey, I had this idea long ago..sort of. Specifically, while at my grandmother's house in the country with 8000 crickets or cicadias or whatever chirping, it occurred to me that a .22 that would home in on droning noises would be very handy.

---------------------------
I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by,
and then it petered out and I had to retrace my steps and wasted half a day.

That's what I'm talkin about...

I remember reading about this very same system in scifi decades ago with the track-back and kill capability.

I often wonder what other things I read about will come to pass while I live...
