Yeah, I agree with Daniel. I'm sure Denver is a beautiful place and I would LOVE the scenery up there but I think mid 50s is friggin cold and don't mind 100 so I'm pretty sure the Rocky Mountains is not my dream home.

I spent a bunch of time up there last year during a company acquisition. I really liked it... accept when we got stuck on the top of a mountain in a blizzard. Reached a road that was blocked off by about 16ft of snow. Had to turn around and drive a couple of hours back down..in the dark, in the blinding snow. Scared the hell out of me. LOL

hubby lived up there for a few years not long ago - and he loves it up there. But they are nuts. We were up there last weekend - when we got off the plane it was 9 degrees out there.

Wasn't too bad - and apparently it doesn't normally snow like it has this winter.

Not that I mind. I lived in Maine for a year - winters were yuck up there. Denver isn't that bad.

Where we are moving to isn't that far from the mountains. Or should I say the foothills as you can't actually SEE the mountains because the foothills are in the way.
