That's about as high end as it gets. Tons of skill in flying and building one of those babies!

I wouldn't want one- seen too many people smack 'em into the ground on funniest home videos.

A friend of mine "used to" have a 1/5th scale Byron Originals P-51 Mustang. While not in the same catagory as the B-52 in the video as far as size goes... when the battery lead came off of the receiver battery (cold solder joint) and the aircraft flew around on it's own for a few minutes, heading toward the pilot and I a few times, toward an apartment complex a couple of times, and then finally crashing a few hundred yards away... it was kind of freaky... not to mention expensive... he had almost 3 years of building time in it. The place that we used to fly at is gone (S.H.A.R.K.S. field in Shreveport, LA). It was a haven for 1/4 scale fliers. When the aircraft "failed" it would get interesting. My buddy now flies ducted fan and jet (real turbines that run on propane) model aircraft... not to mention a couple of real ones. I crashed my last one over 15 years ago...

I don't see a Stratosfortress in the video but I see a Superfortress (B-29). I tried to get into RC planes a long time ago and it didn't work out. Would have loved to have had a B-29. And of course would have had to put FiFi's markings on it. But I don't think 29s fly upside down too well like they did in the video.

Somewhere I have a video of a jet powered R/C flying and then crashing behind some bushes. That's a lot of money up in smoke.

It just wouldn't be right to fly those without some little A-bombs on them, though.

Several years back, I went through the Wright Patterson Aircraft Museum. They had one of those little XP-1 (the orange thing in that first video, may have the number wrong.) Those things are SMAAALL. The fuselage was maybe 4' diameter- not what you'd want to fly at the speed of sound.
