calumet warning - 02-13-2007, 11:51 PM

I ordered an Epson r1800 from calumet on Feb. 3rd with 2 day delivery. It's now been 10 days and no printer. I emailed calumet and they gave me a run around. I notified them I was going to let the forums I frequent know about their bad service.
You have been forwarned( hope that's a real word).

Gordon

Gordon,

Where are you located at? Amarillo Photo Supply (Forum Sponsor) deals in Epson and is definitely going to be better to deal with than Calumet.

If you don't get your printer and when you get your money back, give Jeff Kline a call and he will help you out.

REALLY!????!?

Man I deal with Calumet all the time....nothing but good things to say. They are never closed on the weird holiday's like B&H and they have warehouses in Chicago and LA.

Sorry you are not having a good experience with them, but I have had nothing but great service from them..

Did you make sure the printer was in stock when you ordered....that is the one flaw of their system....it will allow you to order if it is out of stock then you wait until they get the item from the manufacturer. Had this happen with pocket wizards, but I knew they were back ordered when I placed my order.

I've dealt with Calumet and LOVE them! They gave me great service, and all of my stuff got to me right on time. Sorry to hear that, I don't think that's their norm. Oh, and their prices were so much better than the legitimate companies out there.

They are also a vendor with Amazon. I have not delt with them personally, but i don't think Amazon would someone like that as a vendor/partner.

Gordon: Sorry you're having bad service from Calumet. The only thing I've ever bought from them is a tripod, and the whole transaction was very smooth.

What kind of runaround are they giving you?

I've bought about $2k worth of various items from them, including $1100 on lights, and love Calumet.

Sorry you're having a hard time.

I bought a 2nd SB800 that fell apart on me the second time I used it (about 100 days after purchase), and they exchanged it no prob.
