But those aren't the same as Googles "content extraction" technology. I'm well aware of the many black hat operations scanning mail but the
EFF has been successful at stopping such illegal actions.
Here's where
gmail differs from illegal black hat work.
At least in the past Google has stood up to the Feds and said "
NO" when they wanted to go fishing in their archives but will they always.
P.S. I know my email is not scanned at work as I would be one of the scanners.
