I had one..... Had a couple sandwiches from it but didn't have a problem. It seems that not every jar had the problem....... It's going to take them a while to trck down what happened.

Thanks Allison. My wife got sick last week after eating a pbj sandwich. We thought it was just stress from work but turns out, we have the Peter Pan PB w. product code "2111..."

Yeah that's a good thing Brad. You have nothing to worry about.

Dave, the jar we've been eating from is what we threw away cause the kids freaked out. My husband wouldn't let me throw out the two unopened ones.. he said he'd eat them. So I agree not all are going to be contaminated but I'd rather try Jif.

You're welcome Paulo.. I hope your wife is better now.

Thanks for the info Stanford.

Steve it said in that artical that Jif was the #1 PB..

I had 2 one in the office, one at home. I was actually eating my morning pbj with my coffee when I heard about it in the radio. I called my wife at home to check what number, sure enough it was 2111. I finished the pbj anyways.

Forget your Peter Pan and Jiffy. This is the real pure quill stuff. Try it and you'll never want anything else.

Carried our 3/4 eaten jar back to wal-mart service counter. they scanned it, gave me the cash refund, didn't blink an eye. luckily, my wife didn't get sick from eating out of this jar.

Important note: if you (like me...) tend to use the same knife in the jelly, your jelly is now contaminated.

Be safe and toss any opened jelly that may have come in contact with a utensil used in the 2111 PB.

Jiff here!
Main reason is that Wall-Market carries bigger jars of Jiff Low Fat, than it does Peter Pan Low Fat! Lucked-Out this time!
