Exclamation Calling all Exposure Manager users - 02-19-2007, 12:44 PM

I am using the 15 day trial and so far I LOVE IT! I am ready to dump Photoreflect (which has been good to me) and jump aboard the Exposure Manager bandwagon!

The two biggest items that won me over are the Personal Questionaires and the Ultra fast customer service. Plus EM will save me more money by charging less commision fees than Photoreflect. Don't get me wrong, Photoreflect is still a good service. They just could not grow fast enough to meet my personal needs, and EM does this and more.

OK...so here's where existing users come in. I am probably blinded by all the good and can not see the bad (if there is any). To all the EM users, would you please post you dislikes or problems you've experienced while using Exposure Manager. On second thought to be fair why not post what you like best about EM and then post your problems or dislikes.

I want to get both sides of the story before I make a final decision. For any new users who want to give them a try and like EM please use my link (http://www.exposuremanager.com/aff/gtp) to receive $5.00 discount on a yearly account, or the 2nd month free on a monthly account.

Thanks for the help,
-Sonny

only situation I hope that they resolve soon is that the client can only order one type of photo finish per order. ie.. if you choose gloss you can not order matte in the same order

I am looking at the different hosting/fulfillment services as well. Has anyone used EM for large volume work? For example, for 2000 orders in a two week period? Just wondering how they stack up or if another service should be used in this case.

IIRC, I believe Mpix operates the same way.

I've used them for a $1000 in individual orders. I only received one complaint, and that was my fault.

Highly recommended. Excellent communications.

I have alot of customers that order two different finishes (matte & metallic) on the same order.

Another thing that I LOVE about them, is that I'm able to administer my settings and galleries from any computer that has internet access, no need to install any software. Very convenient.

I'm a long time user of EM and will stay there for a long time also.

I've done both fullfilment (the lab they use now is much better than the previous one, but the changeover was a bit harsh) and self-fulfillment without problems.

I am also looking at using them. I have a question.
When you map the web address to your name. Example: www. gametimephoto.exposuremanager.com to www.gametimephoto.com.

1. Is this your website that you are responsible to register or is it still exposure manager?

2. If it is still Exposure Manager do they register your web address as theirs?
If they do and you ever want to start your own website you could not use the name
without paying them for it.

3. Are they still doing discounts for forum members?

Thanks
Greg

exposure manager informed me that you can order metalic with another finish. but you can not mix the common finishes. other than what I listed I have no other complaints about exposure manager and have not had any customers telling me about any problems

Hi greg,
  1. I do have my own website www.gametimephotos.com and this is my Exposure Manager website www.gtp.exposuremanager.com. The my EM website is a subdomain of EM.
  2. If you have a registered domain name you can use that instead of the gtp.exposuremanager.com. Either way you only pay the monthly or yearly fee..nothing extra for using their domain name or your own
  3. Not sure if they are still giving discounts. Although they are currently offering a competitive upgrade from several photo services (Smugmug, Photoreflect, Pictage, Collages, EventPix, Photoshelter, Printroom, or Shutterfly Pro). This promotion gives you a $50.00 discount on the first subscription payment of a one year event account. The

LOL.... I signed up for a 15 day trial at Smugmug but have not decided either. I was a bit confused about the web address issues also. Does EM send prints flat or rolled, that was a complaint I heard about on of the services, can't recall which one, It may have even been concerning Mpix Vs. another lab.
