is this only hapening when you click a link in an email or on a web page?

chances are you might have some bug on your system. best to run the anti-spyware and virus scanners and get the latest security updates from MS. you can do this with OUT haveing to upgrade to IE7 (just watch what you click on on the MS update site.

Did the spyware and virus scans and the problem went away.

I have not upgraded to IE7 because I have heard of glitches, anyone have any thoughts?

cool, just make sure you stay on top of keeping your system clean.

IE7 is ok, I just dont like the way it looks as compared to IE6.

I have FireFox and love it and have recently started using the Opera web browser wich is pretty cool and very secure, its more secure than firefox and IE is on the bottom of this list

I'v e not tried firefox, but I've had IE6 , IE7, and Opera. By far my fave is IE7, and this is coming from someone who ABHORRS Microsoft. Opera runs really slow for me, but otherwise I liked the interface and the look. I haven't tried it yet on my new dual-core system, maybe that will make a difference. If there were enough software support, I wouldn't even RUN Windows, I would use exclusively Linux ( I prefer SuSe). Maybe I should download Opera and Firefox and try them again.

PC mag tested all three, and they actually put IE7 and Firefox's newest almost as equal, really not a significant difference in performance. Opera was actually ranked a bit lower, due to clunkiness.

Hope some of this is of help to someone.

Anthony

In my opinion IE7 is copying off of Firefox with the tabbed browsing. But then again, there are some applications that have to be viewed in IE because Firefox won't run it properly. But firefox is the best. I haven't turned back from it. I love all the extensions that are free and make surfing the net easier.

firefox was not the first for tabbed browsing, neither was Opera. Opera was the first to have a true tabbed browsing that we know today, firefox improved it, Opera copied the firefox tab stuff because firefox became more popular faster, then IE7 shows up with tabbed browsing. as i understand it there were several browsers back in the mid to late 90's that started the tabbed browser thing, it did not look like it does today, but thats when it all started.

then it was copy and improve since then
