Paparazzi - 02-23-2007, 09:16 AM

Last nite while my daughters were watching a Hannah Montanna episode. It had a paparazzi photog that followed her home, so it got me wondering. Has anyone here been a paparazzi? Opionions (without getting political)?

I've been called a paparazzo. Many times, in fact...

If the celebrity has already warned the paparazzi a couple times to leave them alone and they don't...just shoot 'em haha. I would hate being followed around with cameras and they just shoved it in your face and take shots all day/night.

When I see or hear the term 'paparazzi' I always associate it similar to a stalker. It's one thing to freelance and capture candid shots of celebrities or whomever. But it seems to cross the line when they shove the camera in another person's face firing away non-stop, or intentionally instigate the subject (spitting, cursing, pushing them) just to get a shot of their reaction.

Britney spears attacked one of the paparazzi. Here's a site and video of it. She looks crazy!

No way. It would go against my personal code of ethics.

If I was a celeb being hounded by them I think I'd have some fun with them. I'd fix a jacket and hat with flash units with a strong battery attached all over and set them to slave mode and go out at night. So everytime they fired a shot they'd get bright light fired back at them and see how good of photos they get then.

Not a fan hers at all but the vid clip kinda shows what I meant on my earlier post.
The same person/people are blasting repeated shots, from the same position, maybe 3-4' away into the face with flash. Just based on the flash, I counted about 23-24 shots. I'm no expert, but honestly, how many 'Britney Seated In The Passenger Seat Looking Out the Car Window" do they really need. And then they follow her to another location and repeat the process...AND you can hear her assistant pleading and pleading for them to stop before the umbrella attack happens...
