Gotta vent a little - 02-26-2007, 08:27 PM

I went out of town for the weekend to enjoy some mountain biking and picture taking. I drove back into town this morning and went directly to work. The day passed pretty well and a little after 5 PM decided to head to my apartment. I live in an apartment complex and rent 2 covered parking spots---1 for my truck and 1 for my car. I normally leave my car covered to keep the dirt off and to keep curious eyes from peeking in. Apparently someone this weekend needed a car cover more than I did and decided to become the owner of MY cover. This type of thing really gets me hacked off. Are people really this sorry? At least they left my car and all 4 wheels. I hope I am around if they come back for more.

You sure it wasn't just the high winds and dust storm? If you didn't have a tight cable it might've just blown right off. (50+ mph winds)

But yes, some people are that sorry.

If the wind took it off... - 02-26-2007, 08:48 PM

it was a very high and smart wind. It unclipped the straps and pulled the formfitting elastic from beneath it. Unfortunately, I don't think it was the wind but I'd like to knock the wind out of the jerk who took it.

Most likely its somewhere hung up on a fence about a mile or so east-north-east of your house, considering that we had a dust storm the likes of which hasn't been seen around here for a couple years at least, with gust upwards of 60 mph with steady winds around 40.

It was enough to send me a new piece of siding for my house, off someone elses gable, and digging up trees. Probably strong enough to finish off your straps. Its happened to me before.

If I knew something like this happened, there would be screwdriver holes in the person's doors and quarter panels. the end.
