Burn down your lawn and replace it with rocks?

hmmm...cut'em down and make a gazebo out of them? <ducking the rocks thrown at me>

Seriously, I'm looking at something similar, with an arbor seating area with evergreen wisteria under the shade of a tree myself as an idea.

There are some home owners near me in Brazoria county who have taken this idea to the ultimate. They have planted and beautified their country lawn and they charge a fee to let photographers bring guests and take photos in their yard. They have multiple benches, plantings, arbors, and picturesque areas. They are not on the net, and I've never used them, but I hear its a quite nice spot.

Don't ever cut down a tree in Texas unless it's necessary...Our landscape is just short of a freaking desert already...

David - Suggestion on where to start... Have that neighbor pick the fence up! LOL! J/k'ing!

Why do anything? Nature will form a stable environment quite well with out our help.

Think like Masanobu Fukuoka.

I have heard its supposed to be extremely dry this summer, more so than last... another vote for the burn it down and replace with rocks group.

Yeah, Still waiting on the neighbor. I was thinking of maybe a bench in the flower beds, an arbor. Rusty, I will try to get some shots tomorrow.
